Ingredients

  • 2 oz unsweetened chocolate bar
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup pecan halves
  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie crust

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). If using a frozen crust, let it thaw for about 10 minutes.
  • In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsweetened chocolate and butter, stirring until smooth. Remove from the heat and let cool slightly.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together. Add the melted chocolate mixture, dark corn syrup, and vanilla extract, stirring until combined. Fold in the pecan halves.
  • Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust and spread evenly. Bake uncovered for 40–50 minutes, until the center is just set — a slight jiggle is fine.
  • Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving. Serve warm or at room temperature.
