Hellloooo New York Fashion Week!

Fashion isn’t usually my focus—you’d more often find me in workout clothes than in haute couture. Still, I can appreciate a beautiful garment and the perfect shoe, so when an emerging fashion designer reached out to collaborate, I was excited after seeing her collection.

Meet Natascha. She launched Tasch NYC in February and is debuting her new line tomorrow at Small Boutique Fashion Week, part of New York Fashion Week. I admire that she sources locally and even uses a factory in the NYC garment district. She invited me to model some of her pieces in a casual photo shoot, which was a blast.

When Natascha and I first discussed working together, I wondered how a health food blogger and a fashion designer would team up. Then it hit me—the models. Models need real fuel to handle hectic schedules, travel, and workouts, and they want to look radiant during shows.

So how does a healthy model stay energized and look radiant during a demanding week of shows?

This beautifying SMOOTHIE

The phrase “You are what you eat” rings especially true for those whose appearance is part of their profession.

Models need food as fuel, but during busy show weeks they also look for ways to glow without feeling bloated. This smoothie features skin-loving ingredients—kiwi, avocado, spinach, chia seeds, and coconut water—providing healthy fats, vitamins A, C, and E, iron, and electrolytes to help skin stay hydrated and glowing.

  • Vitamin C in kiwis supports collagen production, keeping skin firm and smooth, and helps immune function—useful during a busy, stressful week.
  • Vitamins A and E, zinc, and selenium in spinach act as antioxidants, helping to reduce inflammation and protect cells.

Bonus: research indicates compounds in spinach may help reduce cravings, and you won’t taste the spinach in this smoothie—it simply boosts the green color and nutrition.

  • Healthy fats from chia seeds and avocado deliver omega-3s that support skin health and add creamy texture.
  • Hydration from coconut water and fresh produce helps keep skin dewy and supple.

I promise you can’t taste the spinach—it mainly enhances the green hue from the kiwi while adding serious nutritional benefits. Think tropical, creamy, and beautifying—delicious and nourishing.
