Explore Our New Website Design and Key Features

Introducing our refreshed website design and exciting new features today! What you see has been over nine months in the making. The process took a bit longer than planned after a new addition to our family paused things for a while, but I’m thrilled to finally share the result with you.

I want to thank Cre8d for bringing this vision to life. I’ve collaborated with them for several years, including my previous site design, and I’m so glad I chose to work with them. They are an excellent team. If you need website design services, feel free to mention my referral code OITK.

All the recipes you love are still here, now arranged in a cleaner, more user-friendly format. It’s easier to find exactly what you’re looking for thanks to improved navigation and more filtering options. On a computer the site menus are at the top; on mobile or tablet, tap the three lines in the top left to open the menu.

What’s New?

Along with the visual refresh, here are the key updates you’ll notice:

  1. New logo: The site has grown, and it was time for a modern, easy-to-read logo that better reflects the blog today.
  2. About page: If you’re new here, start on the updated about page to get to know me and explore my favorite recipes. You’ll find the latest information and a warm welcome—my love for Ukrainian food shines through.
  3. New recipe catalog: The recipe index has been redesigned and now includes popular categories, top-rated recipes, and curated collections. Browse by season, occasion, cooking method, or cuisine, and explore subcategories under Desserts, Bread, and Main Course to quickly find what you want.
  4. Filter recipes by occasion, method, and more: The improved recipe filter makes it simple to find recipes for holidays, baking with yeast, freezer-friendly meals, and other specific needs—perfect for planning your next kitchen project.
  5. Ingredient search: Want recipes that use a specific ingredient? Type it into the search box to pull up all relevant recipes.
  6. Updated tips section: Formerly “how to,” the reorganized tips area collects tutorials, meal planners, and useful guides in one place. I’ll be adding free printable tools for your kitchen soon.
  7. Search buttons: Search is available in the top-right corner and in the center of the homepage—just type what you’re looking for.
  8. Video section: Many recipes include step-by-step photos and directions, and now there’s an organized video section for when a visual demonstration is helpful.
  9. Detailed FAQ page: A comprehensive FAQs page answers common questions and helps you get the most from the site.
